Kleaner.
A free Windows cleaner that tells you what you can delete — and what breaks if you do.

Why
Most cleaners either delete blindly or show a list of sizes without saying what is safe. Kleaner explains first: every large file and folder gets a verdict — safe, clean with its tool, uninstall, breaks something, your files, system or unknown — with what it is, what happens if you delete it and how to free the space properly.
The verdicts come from 108 hand-written rules. With no rule, the verdict is “unknown”: Kleaner never guesses.
What it does
- Scans the drives you choose: free space, largest files and folders, breakdown by type, disk map. In administrator mode on NTFS it reads the file table directly — about 4 to 10 times faster (2 s instead of 8 to 21 s on a 420 GB disk).
- Cleanup: 45 built-in items plus about 1,100 from the community catalog, each saying what it removes and what changes for you.
- Knows developer, gamer and AI machines: old node_modules, .venv or target folders (with the command that rebuilds them), Docker and WSL disks, Ollama, LM Studio and Hugging Face models, game launchers.
- Programs: real size on disk, last launch date, leftovers of uninstalled programs. Startup items and boot times, duplicates, a photo & video browser.
- A read-only health & security check-up, and an offline AI report — a Markdown summary to paste into the AI of your choice. 6 languages, light and dark themes.
Safe by design
- Your files only go to the Recycle Bin, and the log can restore them.
- Permanent deletion is limited to a public list of caches, enforced in Rust and covered by tests.
- Nothing is ticked in advance, and “Preview the exact list” shows every file before anything is deleted.
- No network, no telemetry, no account. It never touches passwords, cookies, sessions or history — and never “cleans” the registry.
Under the hood
A Rust backend with a Tauri interface, and a knowledge base in JSON (rules, cleaners and a filtered community catalog). Shipped as a portable exe built by GitHub Actions, with a SHA-256 hash to check the download — also installable with Scoop.
