ABOUT ME.
Welcome.
Let me introduce myself — I'm Matthieu Izac, 22 years old. I'm a software developer on a work-study Master's (EISI) at EPSI Nantes until 2028, at DGSYS, where I build point-of-sale software in WinDev and WebDev. Before that, a Bachelor's in development & artificial intelligence.
On the side, I build my own tools to meet real needs: a Discord bot running in production, a Windows disk cleaner in Rust, a video downloader. I learn by building, autonomously and out of curiosity.
My way of working: spec first. I write down what to build and its constraints before any code, then move in small steps that are each tested. Every push goes through CI (tests, lint, build) before it ships, and accessibility is part of the spec, not an afterthought. Claude Code speeds up the writing; the stack, the architecture and the review stay mine.

Software developer on a work-study contract at DGSYS since 2025, on point-of-sale software for all kinds of businesses. I build new features, fix bugs and handle support, design the till screens and work on the HFSQL database and data exchanges.
A free Windows disk cleaner that explains before it deletes: every large file gets a verdict (safe, uninstall, breaks something, unknown…) based on 108 hand-written rules — it never guesses. Permanent deletion is limited to a public list of caches, enforced in Rust and tested. Knows developer, gaming and AI machines (node_modules, .venv, Docker, Ollama / Hugging Face models). No telemetry, portable exe.
A free lion meme generator. It plays on the gap between the image we want to project and reality — a majestic lion photo, and underneath, a far more comical reality. Made in a few clicks.
A Discord bot that monitors 9 French retail sites (Carrefour, Auchan, Leclerc, JouéClub...) to spot Pokémon items in stock. Filters are built through an interactive form (no syntax to type), near real-time alerts in dedicated channels, anti-detection (jittered interval, backoff, hard floor). Runs in production on a Raspberry Pi.
Paste a page URL: the tool detects its videos, you pick, it downloads. Handles cookies, Referer and temporary tokens by downloading from inside the browser session. Regular formats plus HLS / DASH streams. Available as a desktop app, a command-line tool and a Chrome extension.
This portfolio, built spec-first: a written spec sets the structure, the constraints and the quality bar (accessibility, performance, security). Static and bilingual, no framework; a Python script generates the French pages, and GitHub Actions checks then deploys every push to OVH. Code written with Claude Code, under my review.
